MINISTRIES
Bible Study
Liberty conducts Bible study classes for all ages at 9:45 AM each Sunday morning. We have adult classes. Nursery-age children through high school students meet in age-graded groups. The purpose of our Sunday School/Adult Bible Study groups is to make and grow disciples by helping persons study God's Word together and make application to their lives.
Church Fellowship Ministries
Liberty promotes genuine, caring friendships within the church. Whether this takes place as members are in one another's homes or at special events such as fellowship meals, banquets, church-work days, etc., we believe God calls for us to love one another, support one another, and encourage one another in the faith
Preschool & Nursery Ministry (Infants-Preschool)
Our preschoolers and nursery-age children engage in age-appropriate Bible learning activities on Sunday mornings. During the main worship service, extended care is provided for this age group by Liberty's loving volunteer workers.
Children's Ministry (Grades K-5)
Our children engage in Bible study and learning activities on Sunday morning during Sunday School. During the main worship service, they are dismissed prior to the sermon for Bible Skills or Missions. Vacation Bible School each summer is an important part of Liberty's ministry to our children and the children in our community.
Youth Ministry (Grades 6-12)
Our middle school and high school students engage in Bible study on Sunday morning prior to the main worship service. Led by our Youth Ministry Team of adult volunteers, Liberty youth are actively involved in serving the church during worship services and other ministries, such as Vacation Bible School. They are involved in mission projects with groups such as World Changers, having served in Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, South Dakota, New York, Ottawa (Canada), and New Jersey in recent years. Special activities are also scheduled in which Liberty youth, friends, and guests can develop and nurture friendships.
Women's Ministries
In addition to Sunday morning Bible Study and special ladies events, our women engage in missions and ministry through involvement with Linus Project, CareNet, God's Kitchen, MOPS, and other community services.
Men's Ministry
In additon to Sunday morning Bible Study, Liberty men engage in weekly Bible study on Tuesday evenings. They also meet one Saturday each month for breakfast, Bible or book study, and prayer.
Missions Opportunities
Liberty looks beyond her walls in efforts such as Operation Christmas Child and generous offerings for International and North American missions. In the past decade we have made trips to several locations including Ohio, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, Virginia, Ocean City (MD), South Dakota, Ottawa (Canada), and New York City to engage in mission projects. We also seek to reach out in our community through tract distribution, benevolent gifts, and personal presence/service at local events. The church also reaches out to others as our members live out their faith at home, work, and school in Howard, Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery, and Baltimore counties.
Music Ministry
Liberty's part-time music director, Connie Casamento, leads the congregation in worship in song each week along with the sanctuary choir.
