Who We Are

Liberty Baptist Church is a group of believers in Jesus Christ who confess Him as Lord.  This means we believe He is the Son of God who came in the flesh, lived a perfect life, died on a cross for our sins, was raised from the dead, went to be with the Father in heaven, and is coming again one day.  We are saved forever by the grace of God through our faith in Christ.  We believe nothing will ever separate us from the love of God.  We seek to grow in respect to our salvation through the study of the Bible and through prayer.  We submit ourselves to Christ and the authority of the Word of God.  We seek to encourage one another in living out our faith.  We do not live perfect lives, but we desire to be obedient to the commands He has given us in the Scriptures.  We love others and want them to know the good news of Jesus Christ and to experience the joy and peace that only He can give to us. 


Our Purpose 
Liberty's purpose is to magnify God through reaching people and developing members toward Christlike maturity, preparing them for personal ministry and worldwide mission.
 
 
Our Beliefs 
 Liberty affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 as a statement of its beliefs.
 
 
Our Affiliations 
Liberty is a member church of the Mid-Maryland Baptist Association, the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
